L066 MEC 516 @ Bow Blue Seal

Here was the L066 Crew "Blue Sealing" it in Bow on Thursday 1/4/24. Out went this empty hopper, and in came a loaded one. Rail deliveries may not be as robust here as they once were, but reasonably steady without hardly seeing empty rails.

The 1976 built MEC 516 (GP40-2) originally for Canadian National was upgraded with ACSES/ATC technology to run on MBTA tracks. A requirement for Crews to run to and from Lawrence. 502, 505, 507, 515, 516, and 518 are all equipped with the ACSES/ATC technology and have been regular sights on the Nashua Subdivision and Hillsboro Branch in 2023. 502 has since been leased to Berkshire & Eastern.

Taken on private property with permission.
