Amtrak Downeaster train 683 arrives Portland Transportation Center OT after speeding 2.5 hours from Boston's North Station. Consist will reverse back to BON as train 686 within the half hour. Note that for people age 62 and up, there is a 50% discount making RT coach fare less than $25 - where else can one get 5+ hours of RR entertainment (including 79 mph running on Pan Am!) for such little money?
