NEW HAVEN GP9's AT WOODLAWN TOWERWOODLAWN TOWER (SS 154) in Pawtucket, RI was built at one end of the line relocation that resulted in 1916 in the Pawtucket-Central Falls station. SS 156 at BOSTON SWITCH was the east end of the line relocation. To the left of the GP9's and Conant St. bridge support is the old route that went through the center of Pawtucket at grade level. Here it is still in use as a switching lead to the Pawtucket freight house and team yard. I am standing on the roadbed to the Barton Street team yard which was in service not long before I shot the shoreline express heading to Boston.
