Rebirth of the New England States

About 49 years ago, the NYC stopped using the train name New England States on its run between Chicago and Boston. But today (5/1916) Private Varnish "Babbling Brook" with the New England States drumhead brought up the rear of Amtrak 448 as it stopped momentarily at Framingham in the gloom of overcast dusk. Oh, and 20th Century Ltd observation car "Hickory Creek" was also in the consist. What a treat!
