New Canaan Branch Classic

New Haven #4041 was built by Osgood Bradley in Worcester in 1921.The New Haven called these "MUT's" for "multiple unit trains". While earlier cars were fitted for using only overhead AC, these were able to operate on 650V DC for operation into Grand Central Terminal. You can see the retracted third rail shoes on the trucks.This one was photographed on the New Canaan Branch.
