Be interesting to know the logic behind this design. I'm sure the lamps are LED's and can be left on at all times,the unique hood/shield will serve to reduce glare and keep the snow off the LED's, which apparently don't melt snow.

I wonder what color the second lamp from the bottom is. The bottom appears to be red. I wonder if it is lunar white, which is an indication CSXT uses as restricting in some territories.
