Westbound manifest climbing the East Slope of the Berkshires crosses the Westfield River in Middlefield, MA. Lead C30-7A #6586 is a model unique to Conrail. These workhorses can be found in large consists hauling tonnage across Conrail's highest grades on the "Water Level" Route.
