Lone Whistle Post

Lone Whistle Post in the Hyannis, MA yard. This post guards the busy route 28 crossing, just out of site at the far end of the yard. In by-gone days, the tracks extended further south to the harbor, and trains coming through here would be running at much higher speeds. Now, it takes several minutes to travel from this post to the crossing.
