CP Extra West, Jackman, ME

In 1991, five CP C 424's sit idle at Jackman, awaiting to resume their journey west to Megantic and Montreal. The days of the CP in Maine were numbered when this shot was taken in the early 1990s, much to the dismay of the railfan walking in front of the train in the foreground, who in just a few years would have to go far and wide across Canada to see the beloved beasts in action!.

Photographed by Dave Wright, July, 1991.
Added to the photo archive by Dave Wright, September 30, 2002.
Railroad: CP Rail.
