Visitor Comments about this Photo:

#6 Climax was delivered brand new to the Beebe River RR in 1920. In 1925 it moved to the East Branch & Lincoln RR and was parked with worn-out gears in 1927. Purchased in 1950 from the Lincoln Paper Mill, it was the first purchase by Ed Clark of his Green Pastures for Iron Horses effort. Steamed for the first time on Christmas Day on 1957, it eventually took over from Heisler #4. To date it had been rebuilt, had a new boiler and a new crankshaft. Of all the WMCRR locomotives, it has spend a higher percentage of its active life on the WMCRR compared to its previous time in service.
