3020

I seem to recollect it was around 1952 or 1953 I peddled my bike over to Charles Street Roundhouse (it was really off Oriental Street) on several occasions. The NYNH&H's last steam engine, Mikado No 3020, languished there for several years. Regular service for steam engines ended in 1952, I'm told. I saw 0-8-0s drag traffic through East Side Tunnel, but only saw this engine running once or twice. As I recall, I had one frame left on my Kodak Tourist camera, which used 616 films, and yielded just eight frames per roll. I used Kodacolor rated at 100. My light meter was a Weston Master II (which still works).
