An Amtrak "liner," or "high-stepper," will be by Attleboro tower in less than 10 seconds. It is traveling at 100 mph. The westbound left Boston about one-half hour earlier and will arrive in Providence in about 10 minutes. Attleboro Tower will close in two days as the dispatchers take over the interlocking with their computers in Boston.
