S-4, anyone?

Cape Cod Scenic's Alco S-4 1058 was stored out of service on Bay Colony's shop track at East Wareham, Mass. - virtually the junk pile for the BC, but also its its nerve center in a small, nearby office. Alco RS-1 1064 is stored on the siding adjacent to the main, as is GP-8 1750. Compare these engine views to Tom Gordon's photos taken on June 2, 2004 (and posted June 12). Quite difference in the engines' appearance.
