NECR 3846 being cannibalized for parts at the St. Albans VT freight yard

Originally built by EMD in August of 1969 for the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad, NECR GP38 #3846 was damaged in a derailment on April 10, 2001 ending up in the Connecticut River near Wilmington VT. NECR 5033 was also seriously damaged in the same accident. NECR 3846 is now stored in the NECR St. Albans VT yard where is is being cannibalized for parts for NECR's other thirteen GP38s.
