Setting the bolts

Now CVRTC volunteer, Bob Willhauck, puts a bolt in the first hole. It is driven into the hole with a sledge hammer in order to tighten the head of the bolt into the track. When the first bolt is tightened in place, the alignment pin is driven out and the second bolt inserted.

Bob, who comes from Lunenburg, MA, was a qualified operating employee of the Green Mountain RR (GMRC).
