B&M (former MEC) GP-38 #252 being returned to service

The B&M (ex-MEC) GP-38 #252 was stored in Waterville for a long time before being returned to service in 1996 (anyone know when it was stored?). Here it is seen in November 1995 after undergoing a lot of work, but before its repaint into GRS colors. You can see lots of oil around the hood doors, and brand new hoses on the pilot. Its trucks seem to have gotten some work too.

Photographed by David Mann, November, 1995.
Added to the photo archive by David Mann, June 9, 2005.
Railroad: Guilford.
