"Alouette" North Station

#5 "Alouette" to Montreal ready to depart Boston North Station.

[Archive Maintainer note: Jean-Denis Bachand reports that This a EMD E-8 used by CP Rail for passenger service between Montreal (Quebec) and the Maritimes or Montreal and Boston (in connection with Boston & Maine). 1800 is dressed up in its first paint job; it was done by EMD in the US. This unit and 2 others (1802 and 1803) were transferred to VIA and used the Western Canada under VIA. All 3 units were scrapped in the 80's.]

The "Alouette" was the Day Train and went via the old C&M track (Plymouth and Woodsville) The overnight train went on the old Northern RR track through White River Junction.
