The 1870's Vintage "Armstrong" turntable, Belfast, ME July, 2001

Looking down the B&ML's main line from MP 0.0 at the 1870 vintage "Armstrong" turntable in the main yard in Belfast, ME. After more than 135 years in place, however, this venerable turntable was removed in June, 2005, and the pit filled in when the B&ML defaulted on its lease of the yard and was evicted by the City of Belfast.
