Site of the former B&MLRR station at Thorndike, ME

The B&MLRR's former Thorndike, ME, (MP 21.4) passenger station and freight house once stood to the right of track just beyond the grade crossing on the site now occupied by a single bay engine house and a tool shed. The used 75-lb replacement rails stacked in the foreground are all branded as having been rolled in the Gary (Indiana) Works in 1909. Unfortunately, there is currently no freight or passenger service running on this venerable135 year old line.
