CPC carpenter's shop still life...

A still life of steel rules and CPC stencils hang on the wall of the City Point Central's carpenter's shop -- BML#14, an open vestibule former baggage/RPO car built in 1897 for the Boston & Maine (ex-B&M#2328). Purchased by the B&ML in August, 1927, for $600, this car was converted to a tool car in January, 1943, and retired in December, 1949, to become the carpenter's shop in the Belfast yard, the same function it serves today in City Point. Much of the restoration work for the museum is done here by the CPC restorer and master carpenter Roger Pierce.
