Previous Photo Photo of Framingham Nevens Yard
Framingham Nevens Yard

Looks like a "ghost yard". This scene depicts the decadence of the Boston line in Framingham in 1977. Looking west from Fountain street bridge (MP 21.84).
Update: I read a newsletter from Destination: Freedom (Vol. 5 No. 31
August 2, 2004 - http://www.nationalcorridors.org/df/df08022004.shtml2003) that mentions a project that will add two more main lines from Framingham to Worcester due to the growing traffic. Anyone follow-up on this?

Photographed by Daniel Smith, July 19, 1977.
Added to the photo archive by Daniel Smith, February 18, 2006.
Railroad: Conrail.
