Turned Out to be Frozen

Doing some left-hand running down the controlled siding in Palmer, MA, Q174 was still moving along quite nicely during an arctic morning of February 6, 2000. At the time, it hadn't been an everyday thing to see any conventional GEs leading in this area, never mind a one-time Conrail C36-7! They would meet a late TV-9/Q119 within a couple miles.

Photographed by Jeff Bray, February 6, 2000.
Added to the photo archive by Jeff Bray, October 25, 2007.
Railroad: CSX (Conrail).
