Cruising west on a hot afternoon in July of 2001, Guilford's EDMO had a "typical" duo of Canadian Pacific power in charge of cars bound for Mohawk Yard in Glenville, NY. Just west of the old race track in Pownal, Vermont, nearly half the train's trip still remained.
