A US ARMY MSR1 at the remains of the Charles Street roundhouse in Providence, RI seems in keeping with the surrounding detruction. The army provided as many as 38 locomotives to help the NH recover from the floods in 1955. The roundhouse was being razed at the time but the new three stall section was retained.

Photographed by Edward Ozog, 1955.
