Peabody Square, looking west

Looking west, the line that goes to the left is the old South Reading branch, now only active to Eastman Gelatine in South Peabody. Straight ahead behing the truck, is Central Street, Peabody, where the line crossed and went to Danvers. In earlier years it also went straight beyond the visible smoketack toward West Peabody and Middleton. This line over Central Street has been out of service for many years, but the flashing lights are still flashing at Central street, years later!
