Another Lincoln Address

On his way to Gettysburg to give his "Gettysburg Address" Abe Lincoln stopped in nearby Hanover, PA to talk to the citizens from the rear of his passenger car. This plaque on the wall of the CSX freight house commemorates the event. This was the location of a cavalry battle the day before the Battle of Gettysburg began, June 30, 1863.

Photographed by Elliott W. Hoffman, June 6, 2010.
