BML#53 at the CPC Railroad Museum by moonlight

BML#53 seen here is a late 1940's 70-Ton GE locomotive that the BML acquired used in 1970 from the Barre & Montpelier Railroad in Vermont. It is seen here by moonlight at the City Point Central Railroad Museum in a picture taken at about 1AM. On the track behind it are steel body former Maine Central cabooses MEC#640 built in 1976 and MEC#656 built in 1964. The privately owned CPC museum is located at MP 2.16 on the 33-mile grade of the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad. The late 19th century station house formerly served the MEC at Corinna, ME, on that road's Dover-Foxcroft branch. (You can see additional images of the CPC Museum by visiting its own index page in this archive.)
