The construction on the left is to alleviate a drainage problem for one of the properties adjacent to the station area. Looking east, the new east track will occupy the area between the curb stone on the right and the yellow line on the left. This temp platform was necessary when the B&M single tracked it.

The handicap platfform top right does not actually foul the new east track being built in consideration of double tracking the line back to its original alignment. There is a temporary extension made of wood that just simply has to be removed leaving a proper width plaform and roof as designed.
