A Pan Am Southern snowplow train clears the tracks in the wake of a lengthy snowstorm in the town of Charlemont, Mass. The train is powered by a pair of GP40s (middle) with a plow on either end. The train cleared the line between East Deerfield and North Adams, Mass. and return. The bridge seen here crosses the Chickley River which joins the Deerfield River at this location.
