Big MACs On The Loop

A pair of NS SD80MACs are seen emerging from the rock cut on the loop track at East Deerfield, Mass. The engines are heading down to the Conn. River Line where they will head west (north) to pick up the Strates Carnival Train which they dropped earlier on the main at East Deerfield. They are doing a run-around. Pan Am Southern brought the train down from Brattleboro, VT to East Deerfield on Thursday morning, Sept. 10, 2015.
