Downeaster at Exeter, NH

1/3/2016 - The Downeaster loads passengers at the high level platform in Exeter, NH. Southern New Hampshire has had an unusually mild winter so far this season. There is less than an inch of snow on the ground and the train crew are not wearing their jackets. Note the little metal bridge that the crew uses to help passengers board at the high level platform. The Downeaster operates over Pan Am Railways Freight Main Line so high level platforms must have enough clearance for freight cars to pass.
