Rocking the Smoke Show

With a modest climb to Kennebec Road in Hampden, Maine and only one of the trailing B23-7s helping out, Central Maine & Quebec's #210 had #6537 pulling wide open on its way south to Searsport on April 30, 2016. 30 mostly empty tank cars followed, but it was still quite a chore for the lead GP38-3 since it was already having obvious breathing problems.

Photographed by Jeff Bray, April 30, 2016.
