Heading For The Hills

The private observation car 'Babbling Brook' is seen on the tail end of today's Amtrak train 449. The car is of vintage NYCRR heritage. I took this photo at the foot of a rock cut near milepost 128 between Chester and Middlefield, Mass. This area used to be much more open back in the 1980s and 1990s. The west branch of the Westfield River is below the train on the right.
