Amtrak Train 167 Arriving Kingston Station Beside Relief Train

AMTK 611 (ACS-64) leads Saturday-only train 167 into Kingston Station on Track 1. On the adjacent track 3 sit AMTK 105 and AMTK 103 (P42DC's) separated by a single coach. They are on hand to act as relief power should a train have had problems between Liberty Interlocking (west of Kingston Station) and High Street (east of Westerly) while single track detour for Track 1 track work was in place. Work was completed for the day by the time train 167 departed and it proceeded straight west on Track 1 at Liberty. Photo taken at about sunset, but with a fully overcast sky it was hard to tell.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Great low light drama. Two trains in station adds even more interest.
