"Last Train North from Weirs to Meredith"

From Sunday, 10/29. This was the final train of the 2023 season to depart north from Weirs to Meredith. After letting off the Weirs passengers from their one hour ride to Lakeport (Paugus) and back. It was time to call it a season for the Winnipesaukee Scenic.

This entire train set with P&L 1012, the Caboose, RDC-1 6148, two Lackawanna MU Cars (Waukewan & Deer Park), RDC-1 9151, and the Pullman parlor car, #103 Determination, were all taken north to Lincoln, along with more equipment on 10/31. Some of the equipment will be used for the Hobo RR's "Santa Express Trains" which start on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Seeing the "Determination" parlor car used on the "Local" was a first, and hopefully not the last time. The Parlor Car is usually offered as a "Presidential Class" seating option on the Fall Foliage Special. It seats less than 30 people in genuine comfort, like sitting in the comforts of a living room on steel wheels !
