B&M Passenger train derailement in Medford, MA 1957

B&M Passenger train derailement at Harvard Street in Medford, MA in Nov. 1957. The train was moving around a main line construction site and making a turn back to the main line when it derailed into the bridge overpass, killing both the Engineer (Danforth) and the Fireman (Murphy) who was in the engine room probably shutting down the steam generator.

Photographed by D. A. Taylor, November, 1957.
Added to the photo archive March 18, 2001.
Railroad: Boston & Maine.
