Late 1950's NYC Train @ Palmer,MA Station

In the late 1950's, Palmer,MA had a real train station like most other towns did! In this photo, the mail is being loaded on the RPO Car. Today, the former station is filled with junk and waits for someone to buy it. The owner is restoring the old station though. The NYC Platform side has been re-surfaced with new cement and the overhang on the CV side is being redone. Still, maybe someday, a passenger train will stop here again!

Photographed by David Worth, 1958.
