Rockland Branch of the MEC about MP 60Some where at about MP60 we rounded a bend and gasped. There was supposed to have been a Gulford train somewhere ahead of us (which we never saw) so we didn't expect to see any locomotives until Rockland anyway. But lo&behold here were a pair of CN engines tied up on what turned out to be a siding. (They looked like they were on the main line headed right for us at first sight!) Our local guide hadn't seen these b4. He suspected they were to be used this summer for a weekend tourist operation. Some of the watchers of this tabloid may come across an explanation in the local media in Maine and know more than we did. I'd be interested in any comments.... /DL
