A view of BML#54's 600HP Cooper-Bessemer diesel powerplant. Built in 1948, this locomotive is one of 238 of these B-B 140/140, 70-ton yard switchers produced by General Electric between 1946 and 1958 at its shops in Erie, PA. The B&ML acquired this locomotive from the Berlin Mills Railway, of Berlin, NH.
