Sakonnet River Bridge

During the recent MOW operation on the Newport Secondary track, these track car operators took a trip to the North end of the track to view the abandoned Sakonnet River railroad bridge. The grass and shrubs have made this section almost impassable. It will probably never be used again. There is not funding available to rebuild the bridge and even less interest in doing so.
