Painting '84'

The Old Colony & Newport Railway is just completing a RIDOT funded project to 'rebuild' one of their locomotives. This unit will be put back into service as soon as the paint drys!

This photo shows Paul LaVallee, OCNRR volunteer, and his generous friend, Kevin Blaise putting the finishing touches on the paint job.

The 'rebuild' included a rebuilt engine, rebuilt traction motors, and a complete refurbishment of the cab.

This engine will be dedicated to Bob LaVallee, Paul's father, who passed on after starting this project.

RIP Bob.
