ST GP-7 #35 stored at East Deerfield

ST GP-7 #35 is stored at East Deerfield in this August 1996 shot, awaiting disposition. ST GP-7 #16 is visible at left.

#35 was moved dead-in-tow to the East Deerfield deadlines with stacks capped via PODH on 4/22/96. From Deerfield it went to Larry's Truck and Electric (LTEX) in January 1998, and then went on to the UP yard in Bloomington, IL where it still works switching the grain elevator there today.

ST #16 was first stored at Rigby in early March of 1996, then moved to the East Deerfield deadlines via PODH on 4/5/96 (along with ST #27). From Deerfield it went to Larry's Truck and Electric (LTEX) in December 1998, but its current whereabouts are unconfirmed -- can anyone help?

The entire visible deadlines of first-generation units on this day in August 1996 were (W to E) #35, #16, #19, #23, #34, #22, #66.
