NEW HAVEN FREIGHT AT WOODLAWN TOWER

The New Haven freight powered by two DL-701's and a GP9 has been halted at Woodlawn Tower in Pawtucket, RI before proceeding to the Northup Ave. yard. The track on the right that I am standing on serves the freight house and team tracks but it is also the original route through the center of Pawtucket. The freight is on the new route and the 0.4 percent grade that lowered the tracks to eliminate grade crossings can be seen. The line relocation was finished in 1916.
