Lower Ladd Rd, Meredith, NH

The former Rt 3 now know as Lower Ladd Rd in Meredith has a newly reconstructed grade crossing as seen from the Winnipesaukee Foliage Train that is just preparing to depart Meredith on its first run of the season with 300 passengers. Lincoln, NH is 38 miles north from this point.

The building to the right is the former Meredith Freight House with the now gone Meredith Station located across Lower Ladd Rd on the right where some of the old station curbing can still be seen.

Alco S1 1008 former Portland Terminal is to do the honors of being the first train to use the new track leading from the station through the switch onto the mainline north.
